CT Beaches

My New Weekend Getaway!

Esker Point Beach, Groton

Connecticut has some of the most beautiful little beaches in New England. I was lucky enough to discover this hidden little gem in the town of Groton. This saltwater beach is only about 600 feet, but what I love about the small area is that there is less of a crowd like the bigger beaches. There is free parking, (YAY!) a restroom, public shower and no life guard on duty. There is also a shaded picnic area and you can bring your pets!

I have not yet been to any of the local restaurants in the area, such as Mystic Market, Seahorse, Costello’s Clam Shack or Ford’s Lobster, but I plan to in the future! I packed my own picnic basket that day but I can’t wait to try them. As soon as I do, I will let you know. Have you been to this beach or any of the local places before? If so let me know. Here are some more awesome pics. Every time I go, I meet some really amazing people that live right on the beach!
